Bubble Shift is a free browser-based sliding puzzle game. You cannot steer the bubble—you move the colorful blocks around it to open a path to the sky.

A little blue bubble is waiting to see the sky. Slide the colorful blocks together, clear an opening, and watch it rise. Sometimes, the way forward begins with moving everything the wrong way.

One small move. A new way through.

Each direction moves all the blocks together. Once they settle, the bubble floats upward until something stops it. Your challenge is to make a path through the opening at the top.

There is no countdown and no stock of lives to lose. Take a breath, undo a thought, and try another one. Soft piano and tiny chimes accompany the moment when a blocked path finally opens.

• Hints and complete solution demonstrations are free. Using help marks that run as assisted; replay without help to improve your stars.
• Music and sound effects can be switched off independently. Ambient motion can be reduced.

How to play

Swipe the board with a mouse or touchscreen, use the on-screen arrows, or press arrow keys / WASD. Z undoes a move; R restarts.

Your progress stays in this browser only. It does not sync across devices or with TapTap. Private browsing or clearing site data may erase your save. The game is visual and does not currently provide a fully screen-reader-accessible alternative.
